In all our auto broker offices, we provide a desk, chair (2 chairs at the Norcross location!), locking file cabinet, and a "compliance board" where you hang on the wall all required documents, your state license, your local business license, your state sales tax id certificate, your bond and your insurance. And we also have your signage made. Utilities, except phone and internet are included.

To sign a lease, we will need security deposit equal to one month rent, prorated current month's rent, $45 one time cost for the sign required by the state, $25 one time fee for a mailbox lock and key, and a $50 door lock fee.

WE SPECIALIZE IN AUTO BROKER OFFICES !!!

When you apply for the state auto brokers license, you must get zoning approval from the local jurisdiction for the building where you are setting up your office. Most office buildings are not zoned properly for auto brokers, as they usually have a severely limited zoning of O&I.

Many times you will see individual offices leased out, but if they are not separate suites, then they will not qualify, so beware of other Landlord promises. If the office you are renting is inside a larger office suite, then most likely that office will NOT be qualified, as MAILING ADDRESSES and office suites cannot be shared. Before signing a lease anywhere, make sure the property is properly zoned so you can get a zoning certificate, secondly, if the office appears to inside another suite without a separate entrance, ASK about a occupancy permit. If you dont have an occupancy permit, your business is NOT legal. Ask the local county or city jurisdiction, NOT the landlord! A mistake can be costly. We constantly get tenants that learned the hard and expensive way!

1). To schedule your prelicensing seminar, go to https://giada.org or call and ask for Edgar or Amanda at 770-745-9650. This is REQUIRED seminar for ALL applicants. At the seminar, you learn all about business as well as rules and regulations.

You can also call Chris Eels at 770 653 7808 (as an auto broker you will be required to have a bond and insurance. Inability to get a bond is the number one reason people cant get their license so get a quote before signing a lease! Use our address for the quote!
Because of our great locations, you can expect insurance rates to be HUNDREDS less than locations in Fulton, DeKalb, and Clayton counties and cities in those counties. Also, when buying insurance, make sure you also get business insurance, not JUST the minimum required garage insurance....PROTECT yourself!

3). We can recommend a knowledgable private consultant who will do all the paperwork, insurance, bonding etc for a reasonable fee to get you license to make sure you correctly comply with all the required paperwork and submit a proper application.

4). We can also recommend phone service with a small phone company for you for $75 per month with INTERNET included, they furnished the telephone and set up your static IP address with NO long-term contract. As you may know, you are required by the state licensing Board to maintain both your office and a landline phone service in order to keep your license. Also, you number WILL be published with 411, another state requirement. A phone, as depicted in one of the photos, will be furnished as well, so you dont even have to buy a phone!!! As you may know, to print out your temporary tags for your buyers, you now must have a STATIC IP Address registered with the state. The company we have at our building will help you with your IP address.

5). We can also recommend legal place to store you vehicles. As you should know with this business model, you cannot store your vehicles at administrative offices unless the local jurisdiction ALSO zones the property for vehicle storage. Even if a Landlord tells you that you can, that doesnt mean it is legal, and you want to comply with all laws, or you will be fined and you could loose your license. You and your manager/salesman/employee may actually drive the first 2 or 3 vehicle. After that, you simply have to find a place to store the vehicles. We can recommend places that may cost $50 to $75 per vehicle.

6). If you rent from us, you get automatic membership into GABA the Georgia Auto Brokers Association. Even if you rent from someone else, we still also strongly recommend that you join GABA, the Georgia Auto Brokers Association, a non-profit association that has been formed to promote, defend and assist in compliance and transparency for the auto broker business model. There are some represented by large car dealers that are wanting to change the law require all dealers to rent a dealer lot. The government should NOT be in the business of choosing winners and losers, all legitimate business complying with the law should be allowed to stay in business. Help us keep it this way. 7). All Dealer License applicants must include verification of a background check and fingerprinting with their dealer application. 8). Frequently Asked Question: How do I get started?
If you have made the decision to get your license and have reviewed the application (which can be downloaded at
http://sos.ga.gov/cgi-bin/plbforms.asp?board=35 ), then the bottom line is you must rent an location that is PROPERLY zoned for auto dealers and brokers. The second thing you need is to set up your business, as all other steps you will need your address and your company name. Setting up your company is very simple, just go to the Georgia Secretary of State website and step one is reserve a name and then when the state approves it which takes 1 to 3 business days, then you go back and incorporate.

Once your company is set up, you will also have to apply for a state sales tax ID
Then you will need insurance and bond. If you have bad credit, you may want to get a quote on the bond BEFORE you spend any money because the bond will go from less than $500 to more than $7000 with bad credit.
You will also need to have fingerprints and background check done.
You will have to go to the local jurisdiction (city or county government) to pick up a zoning certificate.
You must have sign at your location. In our case, the state required signage will be put up by us, located by your office and at the front directory. We will also take the 4 required photos of your sign, office, directory and building.
You must have landline phone service in your company name and registered with 411
You must take the prelicensing seminar where you learn about all about the regulations of the car business. Register at www.giada.org for the class.
